We finally make it to Mt. LeConte, the third highest peak in the Smokies at 6,593 toes. Of those folks who did not flip round at Alum Cave Bluffs, Mt LeConte Lodge was the destination for many. The Lodge gives in a single day accommodations for adventurers looking to spend the night on the mountain, however who do not want to backpack and sleep in their own tent.
We hit the singletrack, and everything was beautiful. Our group stayed more or less collectively all the best way to the first full aid station at mile 11.
