After a whole bunch of nights spent sleeping outdoors, I discovered myself wide awake spooked by one thing. It was not a mysterious noise in the woods but the strangest mild I had ever seen. An eerie orange glow crept slowly by a whole bunch of monumental pine tree trunks in entrance of our tent, vibrant past purpose and by some means alive. At first, I used to be positive it was a forest hearth, so I had woke up my mountaineering associate. An absence of smoke and the fact that the sunshine was not spreading introduced up new ideas….other hikers, reflections of distant cars, St. Elmo’s Hearth? How silly I felt once we lastly realized that the exceptional sight was an excellent full moon rising up via the naked winter woods!
