I lived within the stunning Sacramento Mountains of Southcentral New Mexico for 4 years. I lived in an off grid, unfinished cabin on 5 acres that border the Lincoln Nationwide Forest. My cabin was a cut up stage timber body. I heated and typically cooked with a wooden stove, I cought rainwater, and I powered my cabin with solar panels and batteries. My objective was to dwell as self sufficiently and eco pleasant as I might.
