U.S. Freeway seventy two is an old route in north Alabama, stretching from Bridgeport, Tennessee to Memphis on the opposite side of the state. Through the years I’ve caught a whole lot of fish in streams and lakes close to this highway, where it meandered close to the Tennessee River and the backwaters of one TVA dam or another. Sometimes I’d just cease the truck and fish from the facet of the highway.
