Chess Records was some of the influential Blues, Soul, and Rock and Roll report labels in the mid-20th Century, headquartered in Chicago. The origins of the label have been in an R&B membership known as the Macomba Lounge, opened at 3905 S. Cottage Grove Avenue on the South Aspect of Chicago by Polish immigrants Leonard and Phil Chess in the mid-forties.
From 1994, the Nice Competition of jazz changed its emphasis barely and now runs with a world music and pop affect but still protecting its eclectic mix of traditional and fashionable sounds.
