I had developed a way of cautionary unease as I mulled over the contact with the effusively talkative woman at the VP machine. My senses informed me that something about that encounter was skewed, though at the time I did not know what it was and I wasn’t bleeding profusely..yet. My group then proceeded to meander by means of a really crowded slot machine aisle and another 6th, 7th, or 8th sense that vaguely detected an impersonal but succinct encroachment into my private area kicked in. Instinctively, I immediately dug into the satchel to locate my wallet and it was gone. I then instantly circled and backtracked about ten ft (a matter of perhaps three seconds, tops) as my endogenous adrenaline kicked in. I am undecided that my hair wasn’t on hearth briefly.
